This horse is halter trained, is friendly and is a all around sweet boy.  Ace was born on the ranch 3/12/1991.  Our trainer reports that Ace is easy to halter and lead, likes to be groomed.  He has had his hooves trimmed, his West Nile Vaccine and has been wormed. He could stand to lose a few pounds! We put a pad and saddle on his back and he did not flinch. Adoption Fee: $300 These horses are of the estate of Clint Ritchie, a long time soap opera star from One Life to Live (Clint Buchcanan married to Vicki Buchcanan) and endurance rider. Mr. Ritchie passed on earlier this year, unfortunately without a will. His estate includes a 60 acre horse ranch with 30 horses that are now in need of homes. Some of the horses on the ranch were rescued and some were bred on the ranch. Nevada County contacted us to assist with the adoption process of the ranchs Mustangs, Standardbreds, Arabians, etc. These animals are currently untrained to ride, but quite a few have good potential given the right owner. There are some very sweet horses in this herd. If you are interested in this horse you will need to place a $50 adoption hold on this horse, please include this horses name and/or NER number. If you are approved to adopt, the adoption hold will hold this horse for you for one week after your adoption application is approved. If you are already approved to adopt a horse from NorCal Equine Rescue you have one week to make arrangements for transportation and for the adoption to take place. Please be aware that we only keep adoption applications on file for 6 months, you may need to resubmit your application. If you are not currently approved to adopt, you will need to submit an adoption application within 24 hours after you place a horse into adoption pending. If your application is not received the horse will be available for adoption again. Adoption applications take about 1 week to process. The adoption application fee is $25 and is nonrefundable.
